Each extension is heavily inspired by the unique style and compositional techniques found in the original pieces. The result is a seamless integration of the old and the new.
The programme includes expanded versions of: Clair De Lune, Arabesque No. 1, Rêverie, Ballade, Mazurka and Prelude from Suite Bergamasque.

Clair de Lune [Extended]

Following the release of his full-length album Debussy [Extended], composer and pianist Morten Vamplew—known by his stage name Mortenissimo—reflects on the significance of his single, Clair de Lune [Extended], as the first step in this project.
This piece is a innovative reimagining of the famous third segment from Claude Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque, meticulously extended to around double its original length by seamlessly incorporating new sections composed by Morten himself. The goal was to create a musical journey that honours Debussy’s work while introducing Mortenissimo’s unique creative vision. With Clair de Lune [Extended], Mortenissimo hoped to enchant both classical music enthusiasts and new listeners alike with its blend of old and new, creating an evocative listening experience and offering a fresh perspective on a classical masterpiece.
